The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. This book is like a conglomeration of successfulness. Imagine Twilight and Water for Elephants having a child....this would be it. It's dark, has a love story, and is set in an old time period (1900). It's the first of a trilogy and rumor has it that the rights have already been bought to make it into a movie. I have a feeling the movie will be along the lines of The Illusionist because of the upscale theater life and magic that is throughout the story. It's one of those books that you ration the pages so you don't read it all too fast and then have to wait a whole year for the sequel.
