I took the day off today because I had a tooth ache all week. I went to the dentist to get it looked at and the dentist said nope nothings wrong! Interestingggg eh? More on that later.
Anywho, I met my Aunt Kathy for lunch at Brio and OMG! That place was fantastic! Chicken caesar salad was fantastic.
Afterwards we went to McArthur's Bakery. Mmmmm!! I think there are two locations, but we went to the one in Kirkwood. Super yum! I had a personal (meaning good for one sitting) white chocolate cherry cheesecake. Amazing! If you know me at all, you know my favorite desert in the world is cheesecake. Not the Jell-o instant cheesecake kind either. I'm a bit picky. The sour cream layer on top kind. McArthur's was right up there folks! (If you're looking for a home-made recipe, look for the Blue Ribbon Award winning cheesecake. Hands down best ever.)
They had beignets! Beignets like from The Princess and the Frog! I kept going on and on about beignets and how famous they are and I'd never had one and was so excited to see one. The sweet lady popped two free beignets in our bag. www.mcarthurs.com . All the little shops around it were so adorable as well. It would be a perfect Saturday morning walking route.
So that's it! Two first encounter restaurant/bakery that were beautiful and delicious! \
